Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of the secret santa generator at secretsantagenerator.vip. By creating a draw or opening a private link, you accept them.

The service

We provide a free tool that randomly assigns gift-exchange matches and produces private links for sharing them. The service is provided as is. There is no paid tier, no account system, and no guaranteed uptime, though we aim to keep draws available through the holiday season.

Your content

You are responsible for the names, group titles, and wishlist text you enter. Do not use the generator to harass anyone, do not enter other people's sensitive information beyond the first names needed for a draw, and do not use it for unlawful purposes.

Private links

Private links are the access control for a draw. Keep them to yourself. We cannot restore a link that was shared publicly, and matches revealed through a shared link are considered disclosed by the holder, not by us.

Fair use

Automated access, scraping, or trying to guess other people's links is not permitted. Draws are limited to 100 participants and reasonable seasonal use.

Affiliate links and ads

The site displays advertising and contains Amazon affiliate links. Purchases happen on Amazon under Amazon's terms, and we earn a commission on qualifying purchases without any price difference to you.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for ruined surprises, missed exchanges, gifts that missed the mark, or any indirect damages arising from use of the service. The tool assigns matches at random and the organizer is responsible for checking that the draw suits their group, including exclusions.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms or discontinue the service, for example after the holiday season. If terms change, the date at the top of this page is updated.
